  • What does your workout split look like? My split is broken down into four days...Tue, Thu, Sat, & Sun. My workouts do not always fall on the same day as it depends on what I work on with my strength coach on Sat. I work the following areas but not necessarily in this order: horizontal push/pull, vertical push/pull, deadlifts, and squats.

  • Usually I'll work out 6 days a week, and each body part (chest, back, arms, shoulders) is worked on 1 day, with the exception of legs, which I'll do Mondays and Thursdays(--mostly because I hate having legs on the last day I WO :-)). I did read some very interesting things on BB.com about working out each body part only once every nine days, so rotationally I will attempt that. I probably do more cardio than the average person, but mostly because I actually enjoy it. I'll do zumba and step classes once a week, and every other day will do sprints on a treadmill or 30 mins on stepmill.
    4 days would probably be more practical, but I'm probably too much of a gym junkie for that now. :-)

mariesellers The key is the diet. Abs are made in the kitchen, and it has proofed to be the truth cuz I have 6 children and a 6pack. You need to be on low carb, high protein diet, if you want to lean out and show off some muscle. Nothing else will give you the same result. I tried everything. anslas Way to go lady!! I'm so happy for you. I was able to complete 10 weeks before my surgery, and I may go back & start at the beginning I liked the results so much. Here's to keeping fit for life!! Oct 9, 2012 3:50pm

anslas Good luck with week 9 and the cardio sprints! I always do some hamstring & calf stretches after sprints to cut down on the soreness. ;) Sep 10, 2012 7:50am
