I got started working out because I wanted to feel healthy and improve my strength and appearance. I was always the tall skinny kid in school but was very athletic. I played every sport in high school. I went on to university and started to work out a little bit, and noticed a big difference in the way I felt. I started to fill out a little bit and started getting compliments from my high school friends on how much better I looked. When I graduated from University this past summer, I decided that I wanted to start to train on a regular basis. My friend and I, went into the YMCA one night and took a tour of the gym. I was in the next day to get my membership.
Why I Love It:
I love the feeling you get after a good workout, the burn and the energy you get after working out. I also love the strength I've gained and how great I feel throughout the day.
How I Stay Motivated:
I stay motivated by reading fitness magazines and by the compliments I receive from my friends. Seeing other people progress and reaching their goals, helps motivate me. Seeing the changes in my body. The incredible amount of beautiful people on this site and their support and kind words.
I have a training session with Georges St.Pierre of the UFC on Dec 2nd and I don't want to look like a complete fool with him.

Possibilities...Life's only limitations are the ones we make.

By the summer of 2008, I want to be between 200 and 220 lbs, with a BF% of around 6-8. I also want to be able to bench my own weight for at least 5 reps by then as well. One of my main goals is to have a shredded core. I'd love to be able to see what my ab muscles actually look like. I want to live and eat healthier too. I don't want to get too big, just lean, cut and strong.
I think the biggest thing for myself, in order to reach my goals of dropping my BF% and showing off some abs, is proper diet and nutrition. I have an extremely high metabolism, so usually I can eat whatever I want whenever I want it, but I know that it is not good. I used to eat like crap...
hey bro! Did you hear about Matt Sera? he has a herniated disc in his back and can't fight Hughes. Guess who the replacement is going to be? GSP baby!! It is going to be 5 rounds anyway and the winner gets to fight for the title! I can't wait.
Thanks for the encouragement & kind words Tim! You look great and I wish you the best of luck on reaching all your goals! How's life out in New Brunswick?! Are you bombarded with snow yet?!
Ashton :)
