The hotel was beautiful. It had a full size kitchen with microwave and frig. Also, it was fun being apart of an all girl show.

Comments: I did and felt great at this show. I began working with Mike Davies and my body responded well to the diet changes. All the competitors looked beautiful. We had so much fun at pre-judging. The venue and hotel was on the university of houston's campus. It was perfect. I had a wonderful time, befriend another competitor and began falling in love with my new boyfriend, Ryan.

Date: Aug 15, 2009
Location: Texas, United States
Level: Pro
Type: Figure
Bodyweight: 108 lb (49.1 kg)
Place: 9
Comments: I had fun dancing at the beginning of the show. The turn out? Not good. We were all hoping the head judge was going to pick the "girly girls" to win as expected. It was not the case. The overall winner was hard as a rock. It was a not a good show for competitors. It was not judged fairly.
Organization: IFBB
Contest: Jacksonville Pro
Date: Aug 01, 2009
Location: Florida, United States
Level: Pro
Type: Figure
Bodyweight: 108 lb (49.1 kg)
Place: 8
Comments: First of all, I love Dexter. He's a wonderful person and very accommodating. Jacksonville is a beautiful city and the people are ultra friendly. I believe I could have done better. I had suit issues. The suits that I ordered over a month ago arrived on Wednesday. I was leaving Memphis on Thursday. I stepped on stage with borrowed suits. Don't ever do that. They looked good from the front but not the back. I was wearing granny panties on stage. I was ridiculous and should of worn suits that I knew fit my body. I have resolved my suit catastrophe and I will be ready for the Europa. Wish me luck!

Contest: Kentucky Pro Muscle - Louisville, KY
Date: Nov 08, 2008
Location: Kentucky, United States
Level: Pro
Type: Figure
Bodyweight: 112 lb (50.9 kg)
Place: 16
Comments: What a nightmare. I was too soft and I didn't feel right. We stepped on stage at 11:15 pm for the evening show. No one was in the audience. We broke out the Halloween candy around 10:00pm. I'm sure we all looked great on stage.
Organization: IFBB
Contest: Atlantic City Figure Pro - Masters
Date: Sep 13, 2008
Location: New Jersey, United States
Level: Pro
Type: Figure
Bodyweight: 109 lb (49.5 kg)
Place: 3
Comments: I was hoping for my first win as a Pro. I placed 3rd in the Masters division and 12th in the Open. I did however receive a check so I am officially a Pro. I am so glad because my accountant wanted to treat my figure career as a hobby. Is he out of his mind? I now have income to report. Hooray.

I will not give up. I will continue to make changes and make my 1st place win a reality.
Organization: IFBB

Location: New York, United States
Level: Pro
Type: Figure
Bodyweight: 110 lb (50.0 kg)

Comments: Well, I wish I placed higher. Sandy told me to gain 2lbs and I did. I will have to try again next week in Atlantic City. Never give up.

Contest: Europa Super Show
Date: Aug 15, 2008
Location: Texas, United States
Level: Pro
Type: Figure
Bodyweight: 108 lb (49.1 kg)
Place: 6
Comments: Wow! There were 38 pros on stage that evening. It was the largest pro show in history. And I placed 6th. I was very excited. This placing made my soul sing again. Thank you everyone for your kind words and support.
Organization: IFBB
Contest: Jacksonville Pro
Date: Aug 01, 2008
Location: Florida, United States
Level: Pro
Type: Figure
Bodyweight: 111 lb (50.5 kg)
Place: 16
Comments: My soul was wounded from this placing. Dexter himself could not believe that I placed so poorly. I felt great. I had so much positive feedback from the audience and other competitors. My favorite comments were "you are flawless" and "you are what figure competitors are supposed to look like." Okay, my body may not have been ready for top 5 but it certainly did not warrant a 16 placing. Like I said, my soul was wounded.

You are not going to believe this but a judge told me at the Atlantic City Pro Show that he thought I should have been called out during 1st call outs at Jacksonville.
Organization: IFBB
Contest: Houston Pro
Date: Jul 04, 2008
Location: Texas, United States
Level: Pro
Type: Figure
Bodyweight: 113 lb (51.4 kg)
Place: 19
Comments: They wanted soft, I gave the judges soft. And they rewarded me with 19th place. Gary Udit told me to tighten up and my tan wasn't not dark enough. I actually felt he was mad at me for the way I stepped on stage. Anyway, I felt horrible about my body. I ate peanut butter up to the event to stay soft. To me, I was fat. Never again, I am coming in my way, tight and feminine.
Organization: IFBB
Contest: Pittsburgh Pro
Date: May 03, 2008
Location: Pennsylvania, United States
Level: Pro
Type: Figure
Bodyweight: 109 lb (49.5 kg)
Place: 12
Comments: I came in lean and harder than the rest of the pack. I didn't have deep cuts in my legs nor did I have massive shoulders so I thought I was conforming to the new rules. Not. You should have seen Sandy's face. She was not happy with me when I stepped on stage. I realized that I needed to change my diet and training. I better lighted up if I wanted to win an invitation to the Olympia.

Location: New York, United States
Level: Amateur
Type: Figure
Bodyweight: 110 lb (50.0 kg)
Place: 3
Comments: Placing 10th 3 weeks earlier was unacceptable to me. I ran. I ran hard. My calves were in so much pain that I could hardly walk but I didn't care I was going to do whatever it took to step on stage in better shape. It worked. I placed 3rd. The first loser. First and second won their pro cards. I was so close again. Next week was the Masters. I should do good there.

Location: New York, United States
Level: Amateur
Type: Figure
Bodyweight: 110 lb (50.0 kg)
Place: 6
Comments: Oh my goodness. I placed 6th. Maybe if I didn't walk around the city for two hours the day before I could of place higher. I was home and I wanted to show my boyfriend around. Dang it. But anyway, it was a great night for me. I was so very happy with my placing. The girls that competed at this show were all so beautiful. I watch Sonja Adcock win the overall.

Contest: Jr. USA
Date: Apr 29, 2006
Location: South Carolina, United States
Level: Amateur
Type: Figure
Bodyweight: 112 lb (50.9 kg)
Place: 9
Comments: Wow, look at all these champions in one room. My first national show was a great experience. I made a few friends and it was fun being apart of the competition.

I waited until 11:00 pm to talk to the judges. It was Sandy and Linda. Sandy told me I had good conditioning and I needed to build my upper body. Okay, I can do it.

Thank you Tres for putting together a good show.

Contest: TN State Figure Bodybuilding Championship
Date: Aug 20, 2005
Location: Tennessee, United States
Level: Amateur
Type: Figure
Bodyweight: 110 lb (50.0 kg)
Place: 1
Comments: I walked away that day with three trophies; 1st place Figure short class, 1st place Masters short class and the Masters Overall Championship. I was on my way to the Nationals. I was excited.

That day I met my first Figure Pro. It was Jessica Paxton. Thank you Jessica for taking the time to help me improve on my posing.

Today was my 36th birthday.
Organization: NPC
Contest: Battle on the Bluff
Date: Jun 25, 2005
Location: Mississippi, United States
Level: Amateur
Type: Figure
Bodyweight: 110 lb (50.0 kg)
Place: 3
Comments: I competed at this show to warm up for TN State in August 2005. This sport I learned is about timing. Even though I was not at my best, the third place placing wounded my soul. I will never compete at show if my "head" is not in the game.
Organization: NPC
Contest: Big River Bodybuilding Championship
Date: Aug 01, 2002
Location: Tennessee, United States
Level: Amateur
Type: Figure
Bodyweight: 108 lb (49.1 kg)
Place: 1
Comments: I winged it. My two piece suit was from Macy's. My training consisted of 300 lunges, push-ups and situps. I had no weight training experience. I took no supplements, not even vitamins. I ate chicken and egg whites. I didn't know that I could eat sweet potatoes until the day of the show. Despite all of this, I won my height class and the Overall. This show was a national qualifier and I didn't even know it. Why did I compete? Figure to me was created for toned athletic women. The division was not for bodybuilders. I was toned and I believed this sport was for me.
