What is the most common reason that somebody gets injured while lifting?
Not knowing the propor form and starting out too heavy.

What type of injury was it? How long were you injured? How did you recover?
Rotator cuff injusry - 2003
Wasn't diagnosed (by docs) as such till 2006
I still struggle with it. I just avoid certain movements and keep the weight light when i go with shoulders.
Unfortunatly, I have a physical readiness test every 6 months where pushups are a neccesity, and that is how it happened in the first place.Rotator cuff injusry - 2003

What is the one tip you would give somebody who is just getting started?
Find a knowledgable friend, and ignore the rest of the gym-tards.
