Overall Goal: I passed the ACSM Certified Personal Trainer Certification. Now the real work begins...
I do today what you won't so I can do tomorrow what you can't.
I lifted in high school and some in college, but without any real plan or focus. Then in my last year of college, I was introduced to the Body For Life program, and started working out with that model. It took a few tries, but I finally finished my first 12 week challenge in 2002, and lost over 25 lbs in the process. Since then, I had lifted on and off, but never seriously, but in 2005 I began riding a road bike, and deceided I really wanted to get into that. I did, and have ridden my bike over 10,000 miles since then. In all that time in the saddle, I have realized two important things. 1) I can get my body weight down to about 165 pounds one way or the other and 2) if I am going to weigh 165 anyway, I don't want to look like a scrawny cyclist. I want to feel good with my shirt off, so here I am.
Why I Love It:
I love having energy to be an excellent role model and father for my 5 kiddies and my georgeous wife. I love being able to do the things that I do and do them well. I like looking good, too. I love feeling like I have some control over my well being and the way I look.
I do today what you won't so I can do tomorrow what you can't.
How I Stay Motivated:
I have two beautiful daughters, and long before I am comfortable with it, they will bring boys to my house. Those boys need to look at me and know immediately what will happen to them if they touch my girls.
BB Accomplishments:
finishing my first BFL challenge in 2002. Losing 25 lbs on my bike in 4 months.

Goal (Long):
I have always struggled with losing that "last 15 pounds". Even after riding my bike over 8800 miles, I have not been able to really get rid of the last 15, or to get my body fat to the single digits. Well, I have been here before and am tired of it. I want abs. I want to be ripped. I want to have the body I see in the mirror be better than the one I see in my head. So, now is the time, now is the opportunity, now is the chance to build the physiqe that I know is there, like a statue hiding in a block of marble. All I need to do is remove the excess and let the masterpiece come out.

I also did the Body For Life program years ago. It worked really well for me actually. Had to laugh when I read that on your profile! Good luck with everything and have a great weekend!
Right on. I still do the cardio and the nutrition, but different training. I know how busy you are, but how about joining my group ROCKIVATION? Your story will inspire a lot of people.
Hey Tim, I hope all has been going well. I'm sure very busy to say the least. Have you been able to keep up with your working out schedule? Congrats again on the new baby. I'm not doing Body For Life but I'm following a great diet and exercise plan. Weight loss wise I'm making some great progress and slowly but surely on the lifting. I can definitley see the guns getting large in your latest progress pics. Keep up the good work!
Look at that bodyfat melt away! You're making some good progress. And the weight has gone up which means that you've put on lean muscle mass--that's everybody's goal.
I just looked at your progress pictures. You really have done a great job. So, has December taken you even closer to your goal? Benching 275 is pretty ambitious.
