When I Started:
Nov, 2007
How I Started:
Doing pull ups and dips in a park. Running 20min a day.
Why I Love It:
I feel more confident, I am healthy. I love feeling sore, lol. I like being stronger/lifting heavier every week.
How I Stay Motivated:
I cannot go back to how I was. I've worked too hard to quit now. I felt disgusted with myself as a chubby overweight person.

At 190lb +25% bodyfat. Trying to show off my "muscles". Pathetic. These pics got me started.
At 155lb, better, but not a lot of muscle. Long way to go.

What is the best age to start lifting weights?
What mistakes did you make when you first started working out?
too many isolation exercises
What is the one tip you would give somebody who is just getting started?
don't be afraid of "getting too bulky and big" by lifting weight. If only it was that easy.

Pumping Iron - Schwarzenegger
Played: 67
Why I like this video: Arnold in his prime, what more can you ask for? a living legend.
So I've been doing the whole milk + peanuts to supplement my diet (finally got up to 3500Kcal a day thanks to this), and I've gained some solid 6-7 lb over the last 3 weeks. I just bought a weight gainer, and will try it for 2 weeks, since the whole milk + peanuts was messing my macros...

No synthol! I started my training with 18" and added "only" 8" in the last 5 years. That´s not unnatural... Small forearms? Maybe in comparison to the upper-arms. But 15.5" forearms are not really small for the most people... You´re right: I don´t show chest and back in my offeseason...
