ZoieK
ZoieK Gotta get this knee fixed and in the mean time I'm trying to lose body fat using diet alone without losing any muscle. Slow process.. It kinda sucks. What about you? How's life and fitness treatin ya? May 18, 2013 12:47pm
MindyyFreshh
MindyyFreshh Thanks! And long story short...BITCHES motivated me. The mean ones. May 16, 2013 2:36pm
mmcsladyluck
mmcsladyluck I have always wanted to have nice abs, and I never have, so it was time to get serious. Plus, I wanted to be bikini ready before Memorial Day this year! Not exactly where I want to be yet, but I feel comfortable rockin' a bikini at least May 16, 2013 8:19am
tankgirltuff
tankgirltuff Hey amigo, how are you? training is going great - hope you can say the same :) May 14, 2013 6:30pm
cvolpe
cvolpe Yes alot, whole foods. Cheat days are a must though. I have lost 45 lbs! May 14, 2013 11:38am
Lyndsey924
Lyndsey924 Thanks for the compliment! much appreciated! Many things motivate me but to be honest its been a lifestyle for me for 15 years now and it wasn't until this last year did I learn how to sculpt and utilize my time in the gym to see the results I so desperately desired. My focus is on lean muscle mass and attaining the lean sculpted look. Just Love The Gym and The Results of Hard work! May 14, 2013 10:45am
MelanieP
MelanieP Thank you! I think it was a combination of things. I had gained 30 lbs after getting married, I was turning 30 soon and I was just unhappy. I lost about 23 lbs on my own over 1 year period. Then I got lucky on Instagram I won a 90 day transformation plan from Mary Schmitt and that just really changed my life and body :) I have a new lifestyle. The gym is part of my daily routine and eating clean with room for indulgence here and there. Now Im on myway to compete on NPC. Thanks for your support! May 14, 2013 8:44am
cvolpe
cvolpe I know! Haha and yeah I do need new shorts. But I'm also working my butt alot more for the summer so I'm kindof iffy on going lower in a size since I won't fit! But what motivated me was to prove I can work my ass off and get results. These results then build to more results and its all positive. I went through tons of pain trying to get pass hard workouts without fainting/ falling to the ground. Gives such a rush after , love that feeling May 13, 2013 10:29pm
FitAKGirl
FitAKGirl Man, I have been stressing so much and the weather hasn't been good enough for a run (even 20 above would be nice), so I have been slipping more in my diet. I am really trying to get back on track. Working on my abs right now. Legs to follow, then arms: all body weight. What about you? May 13, 2013 9:22pm
olivianoelle18
olivianoelle18 basically realizing that skinny is unnattractive. i love working out..so they went hand in hand! workout to get bigger! May 12, 2013 5:10pm
LauraChambers
LauraChambers I lift 5 days a week and do HIIT cardio training for relatively short periods of time 4-5 days a week. Eating, I don't really care for sweets so I don't worry about that, but for the most part I stick to fruits, veggies, meats, oats and milk. By that I mean I just get the straight forwards, not much processed. And my protein powder as well. I eat constantly, like every 2 hours but I eat in small amounts. Never eat till I am totally full but never leave myself wanting either. May 11, 2013 7:56am
Anya5389
Anya5389 Thank you:) Yup, and it's not coming back...LOL May 11, 2013 7:53am
LauraChambers
LauraChambers No idea yet what my future goals are besides being a better, stronger, faster, healthier me. May 10, 2013 9:10pm
LauraChambers
LauraChambers Thanks! I have to be honest, I have only lost 3 pounds. I've always been athletic and stayed sort of fit, and I have working strength because I was a tomboy growing up and I always HAD to do all the work the boys did on my grandparents farm and I'm proud of that. My motivation is still just that same issue I always had about wanting to be capable of doing anything the guys do. Doesn't mean I never let them help... I just want to know I can if they turn out to be a jerk ;) May 10, 2013 6:22am
tscha1
tscha1 I sort of motivated myself. And once I got started, I was hooked!! I still struggle with motivation every now and then, but then I just look at fitness competitors and it motivates me all over again. :) May 10, 2013 1:30am
gfuerte
gfuerte My hubby thinks it's badass...my mom, well, at first she didnt understand, but once she understood how important it was to me, she tried to be supportive. But THEN when she saw me on stage she finally got it, and when I won, she freaked. Now she is really into it, so thats great. Hey when you lost all that weight, did you have issues with skin? I only ask cuz my husband lost a good 80 pounds and he is worried about his stomach skin tightening up. May 9, 2013 8:56pm
gfuerte
gfuerte Also recommend pre-fatiguing your bench with a fly as a superset (once every 4 - 6 weeks). So if you start w/ flat bench put an incline fly wtih it first and superset. The other little thing I learned that filled out my upper chest - normally when i incline fly I turn my pinkies in at the top. But try twisting your hand the other way (thumbs together) and really crushing it at the top. May 9, 2013 8:36pm
gfuerte
gfuerte Go heavy. LOL! Try some heavy negatives every few workouts at the end of your flat bench sets to shock your pecs and break weight barriers. You just need a really good spotter. May 9, 2013 8:35pm
gfuerte
gfuerte Im on a six day split two...I have always been a freak to kill legs, so quads are always the focus for my week. But I am just looking to gain overall size right now. I figure I need to put on about 12 - 15 pounds to be competative at the Arnold next spring. For sheer mass, that means heavy back and legs days. But as far as detail work goes, I am focusing on rear delts and outer triceps. Actually...if you got any suggestions for either one, I would love to hear them. May 9, 2013 8:13pm
