HOW I STARTED:

I was an athlete all my life. I started in Highschool. I played hoops in college and really enjoyed being strong and athletic. The weight room eventually became more of a focus than the ball. I love listening to my music and just getting away from everything else in life and pushing the weight. I don't think in there i just go. 'losers make excuses, winners make it happen." "no one ever drowned in sweat, WORK FOR WHAT YOU WANT." "pain is weakness leaving the body."

WHY I LOVE IT:

Its my sweet release. I push and push. I love seeing the change the body makes. "I'M ON THE OUTSIDE LOOKING IN. INSIDE YOUR UGLY, UGLY LIKE ME, I CAN SEE THRU YOU. SEE YOUR TRUE COLORS." But by God's grace I am what I am, and his grace shown to me was not wasted. Instead, I worked harder than all the others-not I, of course, but God's grace that was with me. My Workout Program

Well my routine changes almost every wrkt. I am currently in a bulking phase and am emphasizing my compound moves as much as I can, these inlude; bench press, standing military press, dead lifts, squats..

I have a 4 day split, I go 2 days on one day off.
Chest & Bi's and Forearms
Legs (hams, quads) & calves
Shoulders, Tri's Forearms
Back & Traps

I throw abs in twice a week usually but feel that my coumpund moves hit the abdomen pretty well.

*I do steady state cardio for about 15-20 mins. I do eliptical, incline walk on treadmill.

I have been gaining some nice size and a lot of strength. It is going well, I am taking things day by day and trying to set realistic weight room goals. I try to increase my weights each wrkt. Improvements mean strength gain in my book. An extra reo is just as good as a 2 1/2 plate

 I have to go to HARLINGEN, TX for 45 days (March 28th-May11th) Anyone living over there? I was hoping to connect w/someone and get some workouts in. I have a competition April 29-30th and am looking for a solid/reliable partner for spots, motivation and drive.

So I am officially 8 weeks out from my World Model Tour 2011 fitness comp. I have been working very hard and have fully dedicated myself to accomplishing my goal of getting on the cover of a fitness magazine. I am currently working with nutrition guru, Shelby Starnes, and have been working with him for over 9 weeks now on this comp. Shelby came highly recommended to me by a great friend. Shelby helped me get solid results for past photo shoots and it was with his help that I got a 4 page spread in a magazine already.

8 Weeks out from World Model Tour Fitness New England Comp

I am going to start a blog about my last 8 weeks of contest prep for the World Model Tour Fitness New England comp (CT). I have been working with, in my opinion, the best nutritionist in the biz (Shelby Starnes) for the last 9 weeks leading up to this. 



This is the beginning and I will get into more detail this weekend. Hope you get something out of it.
