I wanted to lose weight and transform my body. Wanted to get some definition.
Why I Love It:
Because other Soldiers in my unit found my profile and posted my pictures up trying to make fun of me but instead everyone kept asking me how I lost so much weight and commented on how much I've improved.
How I Stay Motivated:
Reading articles on this site and from magazines with new and fun exercises. Also listening to The Mars Volta, Portugal. The Man, The Sound of Animals Fighting while working out.
BB Accomplishments:
Dropped ~7 lbs and 1/2 inch off my waist in a month without weight loss pills. ;)
I want to drop from my current 193 lbs. to maybe 175 lbs. But I want to develop my waist and cut my arms and grow some calves so I don't know if I'll make that 175 goal. I just really want to change my image to go along with my tattoos.
Weight Goal:
I want to LOSE 20 lb
Bodyfat Goal:
15%

Do you tell your friends and/or family about your fitness goals?
Yes
Why or why not?
Because I've always been overweight and as I slowly make progress I get excited and tell my family and friends. Getting fit has always been a long term goal that I wish to make happen.

What tips would you give to others to help them stay motivated over the long-term?
Don't get discouraged if you lose weight and then gain along the way: remember that you're burning fat with the muscle that is developing and muscle is heavier than fat. I've become depressed a few times only to realize that I can't have gained weight while I've been doing everything right only to discover muscles popping in new areas of my body! Relax. Take it slow then gradually increase your workouts. Don't kill yourself, in other words.Don't get discouraged if you lose weight and then gain along the way: remember that you're burning fat with the muscle that is developing and muscle is heavier than fat. What do you do before your workout to get motivated and energized?
Lately, I think about doing that Jump Rope/Abs exercise and I get all pumped and excited to finish whatever I'm doing to do that exercise. It's the first routine in ever that I've been excited to follow. So it's been a while since I've written a blog. I think I will write a new blog every two weeks along with a new picture and updated results. I'll be posting and updating later today.
In any case, I've been feeling really conflicted as of late. I am making progress in my workouts,...
