Description: Because it's what I do for fun and exercise. Ride! The camera work is really shaky though. I was riding with one hand and holding the camera with the other, and it was slippery and muddy.
Another Exciting Bike Ride

Description: It's another exciting bike ride... the 2nd half of my 20 mile ride on 7/12/08, with an AWWWESOME theme song from The Afters. The camera was resting on my handle bars during some of it, but the shakiness kind of looks cool.
So I decided to try a new path on my bike ride on Wednesday and it was awesome! I rode past a crew of cyclists who were headed out on a group ride, and then just stayed on this path that ran between a golf course and the rode. Gradually it moved further away from the road, and I say...
so how do you feel today after the gym?? =) and yes..fear not..golden goals mission is to not only teach the game and the love of soccer, but to make sure they get their dorky on while doing so =)
tell me that moment wasn't hysterically uncomfortable!! so get this! at our soccer camps, we have campfire/skit night. well this one little girl (about 10 and rather lil ms. sunshine-esque) gets up and starts dancing to "low" by flo rida (itunes it so you can get the full effect) and all the grown ups are looking at each other like "is this REALLY happening? should we put a stop to this? we did NOT just.. oh no she DIDN"T!" haha.. it was a classic goldengoals soccer camp moment =)
I love what we get to do...it's an honor. I have one more summit climb next week...then some time off...I'll get back to CrossFit after that. A month w/out a real workout is some kind of record for me...a bad record:)
hey, band geeks need exercise too! ;) and to be honest, i don't know exactly why i didn't make the dance team cuz i danced like a dancing fool! at least in my head.. but in reality it was probably more like the the scene in 'lil miss sunshine', where the little girl is doing her dirty dancing during her beauty pageant! not that i was actually dirty dancing, mind you.. i was 10 and i'm pretty sure the Lutherans would have frowned upon that.. haha
Yeah, I've been so busy this last month with my summit climb and then just got back Friday from 2 weeks in Mexico building a children's center in El Gulfo. Haven't seen a workout in over 3 weeks now...sad:( You are looking good though.
Aww, fun! I agree, see where it takes you... a lot of people have been asking what my next race is (at the gym and college buddies), so I think I should sign up for one soon... I'm eyeing a half-marathon in January, so we'll see!! Great picture!!
i was a dance team reject in 5th grade, which turned me to my life of sports =) i played basketball and volleyball thru my freshman year in college. i started to take up soccer (kinda felt that i should since hubby plays) but i realized it's not my thang so i stopped and just worked out on my own for years.. i love being an athlete again cuz it was (and is) such a huge part of my identity =)
wow.. that sounds so scientific! i'm doing good if i can follow a premade diet with all that stuff done for me! haha.. so what changes are you hoping to see?
not bad.. not bad.. busy day at work today but i'm off work in about 30 minutes and i don't go back till next tuesday! and my son is at day camp all this week and my husband at soccer camp so i'm LUVIN my week :) hows urs?
Hey you cool? I hadn't been feeling great and had a few tests..my liver and kidney function test were abnormal..culprit? Doc reckons supps overload! so not doing finals and stopping all supps until the tests are retaken. Still lifting though ;)
