How I Started:
Was going to visit mom and sister for Christmas and realized I look horrible. I made it through that holiday and now I'm trying to get in shape for the next one.
Why I Love It:
I love feeling completely exhausted and energized at the same time.
How I Stay Motivated:
I lie to myself on a regular basis that I actually enjoy cardio. Shh...don't tell me!

I weighed in over 300lbs in 12/2006. I don't know how far over because the scale stopped at 300 and refused to read any higher (cheap digital scale).
My goal is to get back down to 205lbs that I was at back in 1998, and then further.
I want to make my family proud. Return some of my self-respect that I lost when I realized I was a lazy sack of fat. I don't want to be "that guy" anymore.

33 minutes elliptical
4 minute intervals (easy/hard/easy/hard/easy/hard/easy)
5 minute cooldown
15+ minutes stationary bike
3 min warmup
5 intervals of 30 second sprint (120+rpm) followed by 90 second normal (80-90 rpm)

Hi man, its a lifetime process... hope you are keeping that strength while growing the muscle mass and hopefully shedding some of the fat. I understand about the difficulty of balancing all three.
