When I Started:
Dec, 2008
How I Started:
My Father was a bodybuilder and my family are health nuts. All my life I was fed herbal teas and natural remedies. Staying healthy and fit was what I grew up with. I never really appreciated it though. I thought my family was crazy because they were always tryna find something that would prevent cancer or discover the fountine of youth. Now I am older I realized they weren't crazy they were smart. With my first and second pregnancy I was over 200 lbs but the second pregnancy hit the hardest. I don't believe there is any excuse to be out of shape, and being a generally healthy individual with a father that lives, eats, sleeps and shits fitness It was just unexceptable. I want to be the best I can be because thats where I feel comfortable and content. I have a responsiblity to myself and to my kids in striving for the impossible
Why I Love It:
I enjoy working out because I can challenge my fullest potential. I feel great both physically and mentally.
How I Stay Motivated:
I stay motivated by reading up on fitness and health. When I read what great things are derived from such a heatlhy lifestyle it makes me want to continue. I find that the forum on here is very inspiring as well. There are days that I cry and I just want to give up. On those days I push myself to go to the gym because although I feel like shit before when I'm done I thank myself for finding that strength within me.
BB Accomplishments:
I don't have any major bodybuilding accomplishments yet. Notice the word yet???
I am the same way...I'm concerned about how firm and toned I look and not how much I weight....I don't look my weight anyway! I do want to compete, though...I'm hoping to compete by next summer!! I have a two year old...9 months was a fun stage but you're just getting started!! LOL!
