How I Started:
I use to be heavier when I got out of high school. So I went to college and started a fitness technician program, from learning and having the knowlege of healthy eating working out I lost 30 lbs and kept it off. I got married and continued to workout and stayed at about 120 ish but hardley any muscle, I did a ton of cardio and not as much weights, then I got divorced in Jan of 07 and started to party hard, it really took a toll on my body. I got depressed and ate alot and didn't sleep. I got up to about 148 in August 07 and decided I needed to do something different. I was still working out really hard but my diet was not perfect at all. So from August to Oct 27, 07 I was pretty strict with my diet and lost quite a few lbs. Now I am just trying to keep a clean diet and working out just as hard as ever...and preparing for competitions.
Why I Love It:
It is almost a hobby and a way of life now. I go to the gym and just think and relieve all my stress, it really is the highlight of my day. The feeling I get after a great workout is the best high in the world!
How I Stay Motivated:
Taking advantage of all the classes at the gym...and thinking about swimsuit season. Reading articles on this site has helped alot! I also love reading other people profiles and looking at the progress pics..it is definately an inspiration and motivation.

I was headed out to the waterpark with a friend, after I put on my suit and shorts it was so tight and just uncomfortable, I knew I needed to make some major changes..pushing almost 150 lbs, it was really hard to post this pic but it motivates me. ps I was really hung over too...rough rough night!!
working on getting lean again..I don't like the "softer" me, but I needed to add some muscle..added a few lbs of lean mass..can't wait to shred all this bodyfat off

Aww thanks girlie!! I am sure the hell trying..I set a new goal and that is to compete in 2010!! As far as that supp..i cant really tell what it does...lol!! I have a high tolerance so still trying to find the right supps for me!!
Sounds just like me,I'm only allowed as of now 2real carb meals.Oatmeal for bfast and sweet potato or brown rice for lunch,3pm i'm cut off.Im sure my trainer is taking something off the list today of things to eat,ughhh.
Hey Katie,how's this week coming along for you??I to am "slowly" progressing lol,no drop in the scale weight but I am getting a tad leaner.My trainer has me doing 45mins cardio 7days a wk but I'll see what he has to say tonight.

Yay! Glad someone is getting stuff accomplished! I'm so back on after the 4th...I have to be, time is running out. I may extend my off seas by 4 wks and switch shows...still trying to get it figured out...I need the extra time.
Yeah, I need to be doing more cardio...I've been slackin in that department. I'm FINALLY seeing some progress from eating really clean for the last week and a half. Its pretty encouraging. My stomach is getting flatter.

Things are getting better. I seemed to have lost the motivation and now I am getting back on the wagon. You have to want it bad to keep up with it and I have finally hit rock bottom where I am unhappy with myself and my body. I am cranking it to high gear now!
The squats are definitely unweighted. I would be dead right about now if they weren't :D I'm doing the walking lunges at a track in town. I did them over the winter and was stopped by this old guy who was walking his dog. He asked, "What kind of exercise is THAT?!" I wanted tell him, 'you're ruining my time!!", but I was nice and just continued when he left. Nobody better get in my way this time, LMAO.
