When I Started:
Feb, 2004
How I Started:
I had played around with weights in high school, but it was not until college that a powerlifter friend of mine showed me routines and exercises that I really got into it.
Why I Love It:
I just enjoy trying to get stronger and in better shape. It gives me alot of enegry and is great at relieving frustration.
How I Stay Motivated:
Having been fat in high school keeps me from ever wanting to look or feel like that again. Also, watching the results from bodybuilding keeps me staying with it. Friends online and in real life are great support and inspiration. All glory to God for the transformation I have gone through.
Most of my time with bodybuilding has been aimed at losing fat. I wanted the abs and the cuts, and I pretty much got where I wanted to be. But now my goal is to add some muscle. Basically I am now trying to bulk. However, I lost all that fat once, and I really don't want it to revisit. So...
not much heavier than 210. At 5'8" I don't want to get too heavy. At least not while I'm in the military. Once I retire I may push for 225. I have to keep my 2 mile run time within standard and 225 will not be conducive to that. LOL
Yo! I am attending the finals! Its being held in LA so since I live here it only made sense! I am looking forward to meeting alot of people! I am pulling for Ben Booker!
Hey Man ! I am good ! What about u? How was your Holiday's? I am getting pumped for the fitness expo coming up here in LA in a few weeks! Iron Man finals!
Lifting is going well. I finally broke the 200 lb barrier (weighed in at 204 yesterday). The tricky part is maintaining a low BF while gaining the weight.
Im aiming for pure strength and low body fat. I hope that if i can get my strength up the size will come naturally. I for see a lot of 5x5 in my future.
Sam, hoping that 2010 is for all of us, the toughest and most productive year yet. Keep up the gr8 job you have done in such a short period of time. Keep in touch.
