How I Started:
Actually started in High School - only girl in my class... imagine that - but I did end up out benching one of the guys...LOL! I also did weight lifting in college - never wanted to bulk up though - just firm up.
Why I Love It:
It makes me feel great - energized and healthier. Brings me mental strength to be in control of how my body looks and feels.
How I Stay Motivated:
After a liver transplant in 2000 and childbirth in 2003 - I want to get my body as healthy as it can be so that I can see my son grow up and have children of his own. I want to be a better me for my family and myself.
BB Accomplishments:
Not really a BB accomplishment but I think surviving an unexpected liver transplant is a major accomplishment

Don't take your organs to Heaven; Heaven knows we need them here.

I want to stop worrying "is this pair of jeans gonna fit" or "how am I going to look in this sleeveless shirt". I want to be the best me I can and I want to take control of my body instead of my life dictating it. I want to feel the soreness in my muscles after a hard workout. I want to lose these 10 to 15 pounds I have added over the past 6 1/2 years. I want my waist and my rear smaller - those "lines" under my ass are going to disappear!!! I want to get rid of the jiggle under my arms and the dimples in my thighs. I want to get my body fat lower so that my muscles are visible. I want to be able to tell that guy at the store "thank you, but no I don't need your help lifting that"! Overall my goal is to lose 10 to 15 pounds; shrink my waist by atleast two or three inches; get rid of the "roll" I get around my middle when I sit down & never again worry if I am too fat to walk on a public beach in a bikini!!!
Why? What are the pros and cons of working out there?
Why not - have the equipment we need right here! It's home - can workout anytime I want as long as I want and there is no traffic to fight to get there!!!

How has bodybuilding and fitness helped and/or changed your family life?
I work out with my husband (bigdawg316) and our 6 year old son likes to join in too - so it is "family time" for us.
Hey woman!!! Knee is doing much better. Wore a support for a few days and took some ibuprofen along with it. Planning on gettin back into it tomorrow. Will definitely wear the support to avoid further injury. Talk to you soon girl and thanks for your concern.
Thanks for the compliments! You can definitely get the body you want!
And the blog I wrote about the "Top Profiles" is old... it used to be that the top profiles where the most visited profiles, so people would just change their Profile pics every 10 min to get more hits! I actually like that it's the most "inspirational" now, though it is boring seeing the same people all the time now!
The knee is still really bothering me. It feels like it's getting worse. I'm considering going to a doctor to have it checked out. This sucks...I never had knee problems. Just watching my diet for the time being until I can get myself back in gear. How are you doing so far?
Thank you for the inspirational message. Just when I was feeling unsure of which direction to take and feeling a little overwhelmed I received your note. You truly made my day so much better and I felt better as well. Train hard! :)
