Cheney High School Attended 1997 to 2001 Cheney, Washington United States
When I Started:
Jan, 2009
How I Started:
I've been on and off the bodybuilding wagon (so to speak) since 2004: short bouts of "seriousness", followed by long voids of non-training. For 2009, I got sick of the way I looked / felt (once again), so I made the stereotypical New Year's resolution: get into "beach body shape" by summer. This goal has since evolved into a full-blown addiction to bodybuilding, and I have no intention of ever dropping the sport again.
Why I Love It:
I feel... empowered. Alive! Strong. Confident. And I'm beginning to like the way I look, too. I love competing against myself and having goals, as well as inspiring others to adopt a healthy lifestyle.
How I Stay Motivated:
Watching my midsection become increasingly defined. Best motivation out there! For the first time in almost 10 years I can see MOST of my 6-pack.
BB Accomplishments:
* Lost 100 pounds of bodyfat using ZERO specialty supplements. Just eating right & exercising! (More info on this transformation can be found in my BodyBlog.)
* Working on my BS in Exercise Physiology and Metabolism with a Minor in Dietetics and Nutrition.
Forum Signature:
"75-80% of a person's success in bodybuilding will depend on how well they do on their diet. So once you can grasp that, the training part, the lifting weights... that's the easy part." -Stan McQuay
Abs are made in the kitchen!
It's hard to believe I looked like this at one point in my life! 305 pounds, size 46 waist, and not an ounce of muscle. 2003 was my "year of change", when I decided to drop the fat and get into shape... not just for aesthetic reasons, but because my health was already taking a serious hit.
After a year-long "break" from bodybuilding back in 2005-2006 (got married, gained back 30 pounds), I hit the gym with new found focus and determination and packed on about 15 pounds of rock-solid muscle, as well as dropped a lot of my new-found weight. I was about 235 pounds in this photo.
8% bodyfat, 185-195 pounds. Then we'll see if I have what it takes to be a fitness model.
Goal (Long):
I'd love to do modeling, but stretch marks/loose skin will probably prevent this from ever happening. It certainly won't stop me from trying, though! Competitive bodybuilding is most likely not in my future, either... I'm not too keen on prancing around in front of hundreds of strangers while wearing a banana hammock. So I guess my ultimate goal is just to be the best "me" I can be... and finally look in the mirror and be genuinely content with what I see. THAT'S what I want most of all.
Cyde took the time to help me out with my diet when I plateaued (weight-loss wise) back in May 2009. Now I'm back on-track and losing weight faster then ever! After some subtle tweaking to the original plan, my diet is now pure perfection. Dropping bodyfat has never seemed so easy. I can't thank him enough!
Love the rush of 3 scoops, but going broke? Let's face it: us "3-Scoopers" (my new term) go through a tub of SuperPump250 so fast it'll make your head spin. And at ~$40 a pop, our wallets are taking quite a hit. Don't get me wrong: SP250 is worth every flippin' penny, but that...
you lost 100lbs? that's incredible!! congrats!!:) now just stick with working hard, and you'll def. get that six pack. now on a side note...you have incredible eyes!! i like:)
Good Luck in reaching all you future goals!Show the world BB.com rocks. Vote for me as model of the month at http://www.worldphysique.com/v otemale.html Thanks for your support!
I thought you might be using something like that... Hydration alone could easily account for small changes like that... if your going to read every week i would only be concerned if they kept going up consistently...
i like your attitude man. your profile is a great read. keep calling it like you see it. You're right, who doesn't want the elusive freakin' 6-pack. i see your new to the site. welcome. bobble head or not, your attitude should have you swimming with friends in not time. LOL.
