I started weight lifting in high school, just doing some basic lifts, bench, curls, some sit ups...So in other words...not much. I used to cut weight lifting class and go to the mall with my boys to eat fast food ironically enough. I started lifting seriously a year after high school. But not seriously enough, no diet plan, no lifting schedule, nada. When I turned 20 i told myself I wanted a 6pack and I did my sit ups and crunches...saw no results. March of 2007 I hooked up with the guys at MaxMuscle in San Mateo and asked for some help. They put me on a diet...BROWN RICE AND CHICKEN for weeks. Less than two weeks into it started carving a 6 pack and now im working total body and not just focusing on abs.
Why I Love It:
I love punishing myself. Getting in the gym with some metal music in your headphones and pressing weight is an awesome feeling. You are pushing your physical limitations. It feels good to see how strong you can get not only physically but mentally. How hard I work in the gym reflects how hard I work in my career and vice-versa. GO HARD OR GO HOME
How I Stay Motivated:
GIRLS-for as generic as it is, its true. It feels so good to have girls check you out or say something positive, it just keeps me going, especially because I went from chunky to yoked, it feels good. MIRRORS For as typical as it is, when im lifting and I see striations or new veins and more muscles I want to push harder and harder so I can see more results.
BB Accomplishments:
Cutting body fat. Its not that big of a deal but it always feels good to get noticed for being cut up and thats how your buddies and acquaintances know you as "that ripped guy"
