How I Started:
I needed to work out to rehab after a spinal cord injury that caused nerve damage in my left leg. I went from an active life style (hiking, kayaking, skiing...)to walking with a cane. I got flabby and out of shape pretty quickly but doing a full body work out in the gym in addition to rehabing the leg has reversed that trend...thankfully.
Why I Love It:
watching my gut disappear was awesome and has gotten me addicted to working out. I want to see what I can accomplish next.
How I Stay Motivated:
I know that if I get lazy, I may regress to the point that I'll need crutches or a walker to walk again. (I've already been there, I don't want to go back.)
