When I Started:
How I Started:
Much like a lot of people, I was always pretty active. I got into weight training the first time around 2002 and then trained regularly around 2005. I did pretty well for a couple of years, but multiple jobs and school counted me out of an actual regimen. Now, I'm back for more.
Why I Love It:
My body takes well to it since I'm a mesomorph, so I'm just exploiting it while I can. Ha!
How I Stay Motivated:
I just feel better when I do. That and since hypertension and whatever tries to show up in the family, I'm making sure it skips this member.
BB Accomplishments:
None yet besides generally feeling sexy. Heh heh. I crack myself up.
I need to decrease body fat in my midsection and let the abs show through. I also want to remain balanced and symmetrical in any gains achieved. Flexibility has been a part of my life and is even more important as I weight train.
She goes beyond inspiring me. I'm a big dreamer and she makes me believe that I can achieve anything. She is a constant reminder that I'm the only one that can limit myself. Even if I don't believe in me, she turns me right around. I can only pray I do the same for her in as many ways possible, but I'll make sure I'll spend this life repaying her bit by bit.
Why do you like having a workout partner? What are the benefits?
I workout with my fiance when she's over. When I'm doing certain moves, I have her watch for any telltale signs of bad form. Plus, it makes me get through the workout faster because I don't daydream as much. I workout with my fiance when she's over. What are your secrets for making healthy food taste great?
Lots of herbs and as long as you don't go overboard with it, olive oil finds its way into my food. It's all about the preparation. Keep away from frying all the time and primarily stick with baking, grilling, or broiling and you're good. Where do you find healthy recipes to try?
I usually just find recipes and make adjustments on my own to lower the fat content and glycemic index of certain dishes. Oh yes, I cook!
Seems as though a few months ago I was making some progress and gaining momentum when some awesome life changes started to take place. Mid-February (Valentine's Day), I moved and a month later I married my beautiful wife. So, with balancing getting everything new, my training sessions...
well, you can decide that in time. I had one kid(and only one) and got majorly critized for that, it's like it's child abuse and against god's will to not procreate!!!Im happy! One was great for me. I wouldnt change my life
Its been a rough one, I slipped up over the weekend on my birthday, and I've been slacking on my workouts but I've planned my meals for each day religiously. Its the working out part that I have to really plan out and execute. I'm going to re-read Body for Life and start that in February. ... so yeah thats how things are going. :)
