taf1968 Saw surgeon today . . . cleared to lift (albeit light) with repaired bicep!!!! Will be Sept/Oct before I can lift heavy--but here we go!!

taf1968 Follow up with surgeon Monday 5/6 . . . hopefully will get cleared to start lifting with the repaired arm! Will be light, but "something".

taf1968 Well . . . atrophy sucks, but today I could at least get my arm into a "bicep pose" and without tons of pain. Every day gets a bit better!

taf1968 Making progress on PT--can straighten arm with a few mins of effort. Supination getting there. Frustrating but making progress daily!

taf1968 Cast came off today!!!!!!! Really sore and stiff--and rehab will be long, slow and will suck. But I'm going to come back strong from this!

taf1968 T-minus ONE WEEK til this @#$!!%&*** cast comes off!!!! Been doing legs, abs &cardio...but sick of being one-handed and so limited.

taf1968 Half-way through Week 3 with the full arm cast. 1-1/2 weeks to go! Then miserably slow rehab for a few months. One day at a time!!

wazzu i know man, when I came back I was told not to do a single pushup. Now I'm BB pressing again at 135lbs (6 months after). Of course I want to go heavier but I'm always checking form so I don't get hurt again. Leave the ego at the door Oct 16, 2012 11:08am

BSUBroncoGirl Yes when it gets to that point I will definitely be getting a second opinion. All the skiing accidents and sports childhood thru college caught up with me, 3 surgeries on the rt - 2 on the lf. But I'm gonna snowboard, kick-box, lift and play til they say no :) Oct 8, 2012 12:52pm
