When I Started:
Jan, 2009
How I Started:
Tired of being out of shape and hating people who are in shape. I started working out in 2000 following a major (sympathy) weight gain while my wife was pregant. I started hitting the gym and lost 35 lbs and made some good muscle gains over a 6 month period. However, I have yet to acheive my goal body.
Why I Love It:
I love how bodybuilding allows the opportunity to transform my body and take it as far as I physically can.
How I Stay Motivated:
I stay motivated by going to the gym and visiting fitness websites like bodybuilding.com. Also, I get a lot of inspiration from seeing the progress of others, like those in the transformation of the week.

No problem bro. We're all in this together. Trust me when I started this journey the end was nowhere in sight and that was quite depressing. Hang tough, and remember all you've already accomplished. Keep in touch.

Remember squats, deadlifts, leg presses, benching.... These compound lift use thoe larger muscle groups and give the biggest bang for your buck as far as calorie burn. A fast walk is better than a jog or run for fat burning as well. Get your HR between 115 - 145 no higher.
