When I Started:
Jun, 2001
How I Started:
I have always worked out because of highshcool sports, but got into bodybuilding because of my wide shoulders from swimming. Friend said that I could do well.
Why I Love It:
The life style is very strict and most people don't have the focus or will power do live the life. It gives you a sense of direction and accountability.
How I Stay Motivated:
I was out of it for about a year and a half. I started looking at my old pictures from competitions and knew I needed to get back into it. I also have a family now and want to be a role model for my kids.
BB Accomplishments:
When I started I weight 187 @ 21% BF. I got my BF down to 12% while weighing 176. I bulked to 216@13% and then started a 16 week diet down for my first show. Weighed in at 164.6, 4.5%BF. The next week and 2nd show, weighed in at 161, 4%BF. Needed to get my chest and Bi's bigger. Next year, 3rd show, I weighed in at 166 and a little flat. Chest and bi's were improved though. The next week at my 4th show, I was fuller, tighter and more ripped, still at 166, so much happier with the way I looked. Both my 3rd and 4th shows I was not expecting to place at all, I just wanted the judges to see me and get advice and experience. I did do better than I expected, I didn't place last.
After being out of the gym for over a year, I put on too much bad weight. I weighed 223 lbs. I now weigh 213 at about 19% bodyfat. Not happy. Long term goal is to get down to 8-10% BF no matter what that weight may be. I want to weigh 210 at 8%. Do another show and continue to do shows again.
Because I was out of the gym for over a year, I made this program to get me back on track. I have been doing it for 8 weeks now and am very happy with it.
All my warm-ups are done before weights: Cord rear delts, 3 sets of twelve.
