How I Started:
Always had to stay in shape for the military, just worked out in general.
Why I Love It:
I like being healthy.
I like staying off the couch.
How I Stay Motivated:
At least once a year, I like doing Stew Smith's 12 week work-out from "The Complete Guide to Navy SEAL Fitness Book." It's a running, swimming, pull-up, and push up oriented workout. I use it as a gauge to figure out where I'm at as far as fitness level.

GOAL: In one straight shot, 30 pull-ups (reg grip).
(I'm at a plateau of 25 right now)
3-mile Run: 18 min
Goal (Long):
Sheer vanity.
I'm in pretty good shape, in general, but my body's nothing that would make anybody look twice.
When I wear sleeveless shirts, my arms don't look especially worked out.
When I take off my shirt I want people to say, "Wow. You work out!!," not
"Wow. You work out??!!" There's a difference.
My problem areas are as follows:
I'd like to gain another inch on my biceps and calves.
I'd like to have a well-defined back/shoulders. I'd like to work on the glutes, I guess.
I like swimming and running and I'm thinking of doing a couple of triathlons this summer. I figure if I gotta wear a speedo, I'd like to look bad-ass in it.
*****Unlike, most of the guys around here, I wanna get lighter. Big and bulky hurts my run-times and my knees start to hurt once I go over 175 lbs.
