My Workout Philosophy View My Full Workout Program

My Workout Program

After my 5 month gaining program I am now leaning out getting ready for February photos and my March comp. Right now it is a very delicate balance between maintaining my muscle condition and shedding the fat. I can easily over train because when I am lean and eating low calories my body just wants to run like a racehorse. So my goal now is to keep challenging my muscles and working them hard but conserve their condition. I am training weights 4 times a week - but shorter intense sessions - sometimes only 40 mins to a max of 55 mins. I have added in 30 mins cardio on those days with swimming on the off days. It is an experiment and learning curve. Since I have developed more muscle it is hard to know what is my ideal photo or comp weight now. I just have to wait and see. Any slight change in diet or extra work outs results in immediate weight loss since my metablism is firing. Advance with caution, I dont wanna loose my nice round butt!

Short term: I stay motivated by seeing the results and constantly working on my mental and physical skills. I love learning new things and having fun also helps!!! Longer term: working out is a means to an end for me - being strong and having endurance makes enjoying the adventures of life so much better!
