I grew up as a minister's son on an island. We were poor and I wanted to start lifting weights. My dad found an old weight bench in the dump. He and I used steel wool to scrape off the rust. Then we spray-painted it black. I didn't have any real knowledge of lifting. I just asked my gym teacher to help me put together a lifting program. I started with that rusty weight bench and a set of concrete filled weights without any supplements and without a real diet (such as the Muscle and Fitness recommended six small meals a day diet). I remember at the time I was made fun of because I was the good, poor, quiet, skinny, smart kid with glasses and too many pimples. Since I have just started lifting again, I have felt better, my body has started looking better, and my self-esteem...well it's not where I would like it to be, but it's better. I am inspired by you. Seeing what you are doing, looking at the pictures that show results, and keeping track of progress.
Why I Love It:
I love seeing results and transforming my body.
How I Stay Motivated:
FAITH motivates me every day. A wise man once wrote, "Faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see." (Hebrews 11:1)
BB Accomplishments:
Already getting the "you're getting big" comment...that's a rush even though I know I have a lot of work to do.
Thanks! It's good you said that! I checked my goal and I've already reached that goal! I have my first pro competition in two days in FL. My new goal is to win that :)
Cant complain man, could be better but it sure could be much worse so I wont complain. Always put my best foot forward no matter what. Good to see your working hard! Keep it up bro!
it's tricky to say man. it's all about trial and error on your part. Keep your calories at a certain level for a week.. see if you gain or not. Gauge it and see if you need to drop the calories or raise them. Everybody's body is differnt.
A.t.m non :( but been doing a lot of Muay Thai (Both learning and teaching) and a bit of MMA, so just try to keep my technique skills at home on my heavybag and then a lot of work on the jumprope, running and circuit drill training.
