How I Started:
I started lifting weights in college so I could get in better shape. It was my desire to compete in fitness contests that pushed me to start lifting seriously and I haven't looked back.
Why I Love It:
I love working out because it makes me look and feel good about myself. I like pushing myself hoping I'll be able to do a little bit more than I did yesterday.
How I Stay Motivated:
I juggle my workout every few months. I push myself to try and master new things, I get satisfaction being able to do something today that I couldn't do yesterday. I also enjoy helping others reach their fitness goals.

I held the Miss Desert Fitness and Ms. Fitness Arizona titles from 2000-2002.

I'm training to qualify for the Boston Marathon in 2009.
Goal (Long):
People say I'm a very driven woman, I used to be a successful fitness competitor. I retired in 2002 but I still like to keep challenging myself physically and I'm still extremely competitive. So why not marathons? In March, I successfully completed my first marathon and I've completed two more since. My current best time is 3:57:24, which unfortunately was not good enough to qualify for the Boston Marathon. My goal is to qualify for the Boston Marathon next year by achieving a qualifying time of 3:40:00 or better.
Last weekend I ran the Knoxville Marathon and finished with a time of 4:12:37. An improvement over my earlier time to be sure, but it was still disappointing to me since I expected to do better, I know I can do better.
Yesterday I ran the Whiskey Marathon. It's a smaller event, less than...
I compete in a lot of 5K and 10K races, so I usually run at least 50 miles a week to get ready. I mix in some sprint drills and cross country/uphill running to add variety to my training or if the weather is bad I'll run on the treadmill instead. I also lift weights 5 days a week to maintain...

Hey girl! I'm doing good. I'm on summer vacation and I love having the extra time in the gym. How's everything in L.R.? I'll be coming down for a wedding in August. Any plans to come up here soon?
Things are great. Especially when beautiful women like Supergirl communicate with me:-) I'm good. FAME Worlds begin on the 13th and training is coming along well. I am looking forward to seeing you compete again:-)
I remember that you r lifting less and running more:-) I wish you the best with the marathon. What is your training like for that type of competition? Stay super girl and stay in touch:-)
Hi Linda! It's so great to hear from you! Do ya think? I still keep going back and forth on whether or not I want to get into that. I've been hearing bad things about what it can do to the metabolism. Sorry to hear you've been so busy. Are you going to get to have any fun this summer?
