Overall Goal: I am not shooting for a bodybuilding career (amateur or pro), not looking to enter a contest, or be the biggest boy on the block. Just want to push the envelope and live healthier. The goal is healthy living.

When I Started:
May, 2007
How I Started:
Saw iron laying around, picked it up, put it down, picked it up, put it down. It ain't rocket science.
Why I Love It:
Two words: GYM THERAPY.
How I Stay Motivated:
I surround myself with positive people, I have an awesome Mp3 collection, and I eat clean fuel.
BB Accomplishments:
Just getting to the gym on time with a 110% attitude is a major accomplishment. When you go to a gym to "train" for fight muscle it's intense, angry, and physically brutal. When you train as a bodybuilder, it's intense, physically challenging, and a lot less angry, I think. I enjoy it.

This is me at 158. My ideal fight weight is 150 so at the time I considered myself "fat." Believe you, me...losing 8 lbs. is a "challenging" task, to say the least. I banged out high-reps with cardio to maintain weight.

Goal (Long):
Wake up, be happy to be alive, eat high protein low-carb Meal 1 of the day, take clean gym clothes out of the dryer, find Mp3 player and gym membership card, down the supplements, and drive to gym, whereupon I "Zen" out and hit the heavy metal. This is the daily goal--reinforced by a positive 110% attitude.
What do you think about people who "grunt" loudly while working out? Do you do it?
I think grunting is okay if it's a heavy-ass weight. I just hate it when women grunt as if orgasming. It messes me up.

Have you ever had a lifting injury?
Yes
What type of injury was it? How long were you injured? How did you recover?
Rotatory cuff (shoulder) injury from performing 1-arm DB incline preacher curls. I over trained and paid for it dearly.

What is the most common reason that somebody gets injured while lifting?
Over training because ego or lack of common sense kicks in. Another common but least reported injury is the accidental barbell insertion into the rectum by forceful thrusting.
Why I like this video: Never forget your elders. There could've never been NEW SCHOOL without OLD SCHOOL. Respect, bro. It's all about the respect.

Why I like this video: It's sad, poetically tragic, provocative, and gives me a sense of mission when I start hitting the metal. It can't be the radio-edit version or the one with some guy playing it on a Wii. The Kurayamino Mix is the best one for me.

Usually do a 5-day SPLIT ROUTINE, but December thru February I am concentrating on core and using a Unilateral Training Program (UTP) in a 3-day SPLIT. The goal is to increase strength between 15-25%, develop core strengthening, and concentrate on equal muscle development. I load, maintain,...
