I only love food that loves me back!
Basically I am a huge nutrition fanatic, and if the food does not offer any nutritional benefits, then it is not going in my mouth, simple as that! I eat very clean and I am currently in the long-term progress of making a transition to a completely vegan and raw diet. I won't say much about it now because I am still learning a lot. My current transition efforts include eating mostly sprouted nuts, sprouted grain bread, getting my daily dose of the super foods (goji berries, cocao nibs, seaweed) and I am eating less and less meat as the time grows. (UPDATE: only meat I am consuming is salmon, and casein shakes before bed are my only dairy!!! Woohoo!) I have started reading a lot about “combining foods” and I would love to start trying that, but I will have to wait due to my college schedule, and living in dorms. (Apartment next semester...yaaay)
So far I have been making green smoothies & I am loving it! After this semester is over and I am no longer living in dorms, I am going to invest in a juicer... ahhh I can't wait :D
My Supplement Program View My Full Supplement Program
I don't really take supplements for muscle gain/protein. But I do take essential fats & B-Complex vitamins
I take flaxeed oil 3x a day, and I have a one-a-day fish oil that I take before going to sleep. In the morning I take b-12,biotin, a yummy calcium chew (which is very important for women!!!), and multivitamin.
I use whey protein/ egg protein scoop in my oats for breakfast sometimes but that is about it. I would love to try different brands/kinds of protein but my budget will not allow me to do that right now. As with my vitamins and oils, I purchase the cheapest brand, as I really wish I could afford the more expensive and probably safer oils but you got to work with what you can afford!

Motivational speech EVERY person should hear... athlete or not!
“When you want to succeed as bad as you wanna breathe than you will be successful.”
I heard this quote a few days ago after hearing word and discovering the Spartan Race for the first time ever!
Very interested, I went to the website and played the promo video with Eric Thomas's motivational speech as the audio. The quote above has just stuck to me these past few days and I want to share it with every one.
Not only is this the perfect quote to keep an athlete on their game, but this quote applies to all aspects in life... and I believe every one should write it down a few places that you know you will come across in your daily life.
Use it as a reminder: a reminder that if you are doing what you love then even when things get tough, and they will for everyone, that it is worth it... getting what you want is not easy path and you have to set your mind on it 100%.
