My friend got me into it cause I was fat and my arms were like 11 inches! Terrible .....
Why I Love It:
I developed a new love for bodybuilding based on different premises. I consider bodybuilding a form of art. This is why I admire classic physiques. Especially those early 80s olympia videos. I do, like arnold, consider bodybuilding like sculpting a statue just harder. It's a matter of respecting yourself by prolonging your health and enhancing your physique. Oh yea...bodybuilding is truly a beautiful thing that is misunderstood by many. = )
How I Stay Motivated:
Currently, I stay motivated by watching olympia videos of the early 80s. I just recently saw a video of Samir Bannout from 84 olympia posing to an amazing song and that just gave me chills. **** like that keeps me going. Also, results ofcourse.
BB Accomplishments:
No official bodybuilding contests...YET. But I'm proud to say I could see my abs last years very clearly and I NEVER in my life seen that before. Now I'm preparing my body for a competition and I increased my mass to get a better v-shape and a denser chest. So far, I'm happy with my new proportions and symmetry but my next accomplishment is getting totally shredded to show off what I worked so hard for.
To get freaky while maintaining quality muscle and cuts and good symmetry and proportions.
Goal (Long):
I want to gain another 10 lbs of pure lean mass and get my bodyfat down to 4-5%. Simple as that. I'm not too concerned about my strength but if my strength went up all the better. The strength stats that I could definitely live with ideally would be this (and these are pretty much my goals for late 2008):
Bench press max: 315 lbs
Deadlift max: 455 lbs
Bent over row: 245 lbs x 10
Squat max: 405 lbs
Shoulder dumbbell press: 90 lbers x 8
Skull Crushers: 110 lbs x 8
Dumbbell curls: 55 lbers x 10
These are my goals for the next two years really.
Weight Goal:
I want to GAIN 10 lb
Bodyfat Goal:
5%

Currently since I'm cutting down my program looks something like this:
Monday through Thursday (low carb days):
Most muscle groups are targeted and I use high repetitions. I change things around and sometimes do medium reps and incorporate super sets. I don't do too many sets since I...
Thank you so much George! I really honestly think I'm the only girl on here that wants to keep her body somewhat "soft". Don't get me wrong, there is nothing like seeing some muscle definition and props to the fabulous ladies who have worked so hard to be hard as a rock...they look great! But to me...these are just my personal goals...take care you, and thanks for being a "fan"......ha!!!!!!!!!!!
Bastard! I seem to be performing all the exercises that are notorious for recruiting traps (upright row, heavy deadlifts, etc.) and I think my form's solid. I think I just haven't found the ideal rep range. I typically don't respond to "the burn" but maybe my traps will have to be an exception. Thanks for the help! al
