Consider that I started with a max of about 245, I'd say 2 years. Make sure you hit low reps and heavy weights. 8-15 reps won't get you there quickly. Save that for future periodization when linear progression stops. The trick then is to alternate heavy and light days. Good luck.

My diet consists of Kashi cereals and granola bars, power bars, eggs, whole wheat pancakes and pastas, chicken, fish and vegetables. Yes, I eat nearly the same things all the time. It's quick, easy and functional though lacking variety.
