My Workout Philosophy View My Full Workout Program
My exercise philosophy is to take advantage of compound lifts to work as many muscle groups as possible.
I think by incorporating compound lifts into my routine increases gains, and reduces my time spent in the gym. For example, why bother with leg press and back extensions, when you can target both through deadlifting or squating. Similarly, why do two exercises of tricep extensions and flyes when you can benchpress. Don't get me wrong, isolation work has its place, but I tend to use it to further tax the under-worked area; in other words, I use isolation work to target lagging muscles.

My Motivation Program
Bring my gym gear with me to University and never have an excuse because the location is convenient. Whereas, in the past I left my gear at home, and it was too easy to say I'll just go tomorrow. It's a bit difficult to carry everything on my busy days when i need to carry a full load of books, but no extra trips from home to gym makes my motivation higher.
steventheisen is taking Optimum Gold Standard 100% Whey as part of his current supplements.
Started taking: Feb 24, 2013
Reason for taking: Supplmentation between meals, trying to spur muscle growth by "feeding" my muscles as I work out. I take it while lifting, if I don't plan on doing cardio thereafter.
steventheisen Feeling motivated, getting some better gear for better tracking of my macronutrient intake. Ready to begin the cut for summer :)
