started lifting when I was 12-13 at home, and always had some weights around the house for getting the arms pumped (had no idea what I was doing). I finally bought a gym pass about 4 years ago and started getting a little more serious.
I started 'bodybuilding' in the Spring of 2008...
Why I Love It:
keeps me young, feels good, good for self-confidence
How I Stay Motivated:
the results keep me motivated
BB Accomplishments:
Placed 1st in Masters and 1st in light-heavyweight...first contest (Western Canadians tested April 11 09).
Selected as 'over 40 bodybuilder of the week' by Bodybuilding.com March 29-April 4 2009, (old pics)

just found out that I might be one of the only people who passed the drug testing at the Canadian Westerns a few months ago...go figure
Goal (Long):
Trying to set a positive example for my kids and teach them that with hard work and discipline, anything is possible...without unnecessary drugs or steroids

I want to GAIN 5 lb

Circuit training!! this eliminates the need for time consuming cardio,as my heart rate is faster when not resting between sets and I can do about twice the excercises in half the time. I only train 3 times per week...
I live just up the road in Kelowna and just stopped by to wish you all the best as you work towards your fitness goals. thanks for the comment - yes us BC'ers gotta stick together! :) so you did the recent kelowna show? some girls from my gym (tara and shara) were up at that one..i wanted to go cheer for them but kinda far. how's training?
