When I Started:
Apr, 2004
How I Started:
First by running,
I was 300 pounds
then I saw Pumping Iron and the light bulb lit up! So health and nutrition just stuck with me to this day. I learned about health, started studying it, asked the PT teachers at school about diets, weightlifting regimens, kinetics, etc. I just wanted to feel better about myself; I needed to do something instead of hanging with the wrong crowds. I was doing the wrong things, with the wrong people, I had to let go.

This is what I worked to accomplish so far. It's a passion, it's a sport, it's a great experience to reach your own values and perceptions. It's not much, but it's what I got so far. There are greater things in life to seek; when you work out, it relieves stress: that blood coursing through your body helps you think more clearly, so why damage it?
Why I Love It:
Bodybuilding, I feel that it's an art, and you sculpt your physique (I don't care how big my biceps are, or how much I can lift). Working out relieves a lot of stress no matter what, it helps your well-being instead doing things that harm you. This is a sport where you have to face the facts and that's what I love most about it. And there's really no end to the knowledge you can learn. I either get dumber because I found out something new, or I get smarter because I learned something new, it's all in how you take it! lol
How I Stay Motivated:
I thank GOD I'm not injured,
and my family I love them so much.
I do it so they can follow dammit!
We all have a goal, a dream, I'm just trying to make mine legitimately.
So dream BIG, dream lavishly, dream the unstoppable. And then do it!
"Forget about winning and losing; forget about pride and pain. Let your opponent graze your skin and you smash into his flesh; let him smash into your flesh and you fracture his bones; let him fracture your bones and you take his life. Do not be concerned with escaping safely — lay your life before him."
- Bruce Lee

It's an ongoing process.
I plan to make it out of college to the best of my ability. I'm not concerned about the longer run, "It's like a movie, you don't have to worry about the next movie, and the movie after that. Make your movie that you're doing right now perfect, make it a 10! If it's a 10 and it goes through the roof in the box office, then everything would be laid out for you anyway! So why worry about it? So the same is with this, this has to work!" - Arnold Schwarzenegger
This is a man with out fear! He took the opportunity to show the world that anyone can do anything they believe in and struggle for to the finish! Inspiration is set by his example! You da man bro'!
Hey, how's contest prep going? My friend is asking for a whey powder that's of good quality but still affordable. Any brands you could suggest? Thanks.
