I actually started much earlier but only on and off. This was when I got more consistent with it. I first just wanted to have big forearms like Goku in Dragonball Z, but I soon gave up on it. As I went through junior high, I got pretty sedentary and so I decided to start working out for my health.
Why I Love It:
Bodybuilding is a great lifestyle that everyone can benefit from. Not necessarily competitive bodybuilding, but recreational bodybuilding as well. The lifestyle is healthy, and fun.
How I Stay Motivated:
Easily...just kidding...but not really. I stay motivated now because I want to be healthy and also big(with strength being more of a perk). I always look at my improvements and look at how much more I need to go. Then I just keep on going. Setting short term goals and long-term goals. Sounds simple, and that's because it is.

"...that's the great virtue of the free market, of the private market. It enables people...who hate one another...who don't speak the same language...who would fight one another if they had the chance, to cooperate economically. We were able to deal with China when China was a communist state. Even though we thought that that was a terrible arrangement, we could still cooperate. And that's what markets enable people to do. They bring freedom with them."

Get the rear delts caught up and work on my grip strength. Most of the grip training is gonna come from deadlifts.
Goal (Long):
I am now starting my long-term cut. I don't know how long it will take but I am prepared to go for a year or two of cutting. It doesn't really matter how much WEIGHT I need to lose. Whatever amount it takes for me to get to 10% bodyfat is what I want.
