Fit Status:
Dear tricep, I cant wait untill you show without flexing. I will have comming out party for you then! Love, Caroline
Last summer (2008) I started working out to improve my health and to look good for a vacation. I hired a personal trainer and everything, but I wasnt lifting heavy. I was lifting like 5lbs and maybe got up to 15 lbs for my chest on the cable machine. I didnt gain very much muscle because I lost a lot while losing fat. I went back to school in the fall and got so tired and sick all the time, that I stopped working out. I started back again in March 09. In april, I found this site! I read about the benefits of lifting heavy, because I want to be lean, shredded, and healthy. Unfortunately after 3 weeks of doing it, I got really sick again. Its been a summer of trying to figure out what was wrong with me. Now with a diagnosis of possible firomyalgia, I have decided to fight through feeling bad all the time because really working out is the only way I will get better.
Why I Love It:
It improves my mood, gives me extra energy, and its the only way to change my body!
How I Stay Motivated:
My health issues keep me motivated. I dont want to end up disabled or end up back in the hopsital. Those things really motivate me to get in there and lift heavy! Also, thinking about all the health problems my family members have such as heart disease, high cholesterol, high blood pressure, and some abdominal related cancers mostly related to living a very unhealthy lifestyle; i.e. junk food and never working out.
I also really like looking through peoples transformation pictures on days where I hurt so bad, I dont want to get out of bed.

Goal (Long):
I want to gain about 10 to 15 lbs of lean muscle mass but drop my body weight down to 140 or 135. I hope that adding lean muscle mass will help with all the mysterious illness and my hashimoto's hypothyroid. I have always struggled with my weight, but when I work out I am able to make easy advances and gains. The main factor for is to just push past through feeling bad and stick with a workout program. How badly I feel health wise and also about my body affects me everyday. I would like to be able to look at myself in the mirror and smile and know that I have a strong, beautiful, feminine body!
Ava is gorgeous, feminine, and muscular. Definitely an image of exactly what I want to be someday! She is also 5'4" (I am too) and I dont see many fitness models her height. Also she has hypothyroidism, and lets face it, if she can keep her physique then I can get mine looking like hers!
She has totally transformed her body! Its obvious she puts in the dedication needed to look how she looks. Looking through her progress pictures keeps me motivated even on the days I dodnt feel well
I am writing this blog in rememberance of one of my goals. I wanted to change my lifestyle and make a habit of working out. Its something I crave to do durring the day now. I cant wait to get to the gym when I wake up! I also reached another goal of mine, to improve in a...

I always feel like the guys are watching me in the gym, ESPECIALLY doing the deadlifts! That's too funny! Glad I'm not the only one who feels that way!! =P
Yeah I just started last week on the EFD plan. Haven't seen any changes yet, but I can't wait to see what a month's progress will look like! Good luck! :)

I don't know if 'this illness' in your fit status is the hypothyroidism you talk about in your goal, but in any case, both statements are an inspiration. Your attitude made my day. :-) Just know that you clearly have the right mindset to push through. Keep up the good work.
