After sustaining double hernias in Iraq and repairing them in November 2008, I felt like a lump; I didn't even feel like the same person all slow and out of breath, but I am regaining my momentum!
Why I Love It:
I love working out because it makes me feel alive. I'm full of energy and tired at the same time. I can set a goal and actually see the results in a fairly short amount of time.
How I Stay Motivated:
I can see subtle results here weekly as well as higher energy levels throughout the day.
BB Accomplishments:
While in Afghanistan in '04 I got a max bench to 275lbs.
What is the most common reason that somebody gets injured while lifting?
Too much weight too fast and absolutely no form whatsoever...sling that weight and send your ass to the hospital!

What is the most dangerous weightlifting exercise? Why?
I personally hate barbell squats. I feel like my shoulders are about to tear out of socket and that the weight is gonna squash me to the ground. I don't like it.
Today I started weights...nothing huge and I stuck with the cable machines due in part because I don't have a spotter and let's face it, not being in a gym in over 6 months there's no weight I need a spot for just yet.
alright, smart ass! (And I mean that in the most friendliest of terms) You got some kind of magic cure for cabin fever. I'm getting one helluva sore butt from being flat for eight days!!
You got a good approach to this: learn, maximize. Keep at it. Read a few of your blogs. No advice from me on diet. That's something I'm still working on.
Oklahoma Loney--like it.
