How I Started:
As a kid i was on the swim team. When I got into high school I started with Kathy Smith workout videos and then TaeBo. At the age of 15 I joined my first gym, and the rest is history!
Why I Love It:
The sense of accomplishment after a workout is amazing. It relieves all the stresses of the day. I love the way my body looks and feels. I know I am building a solid foundation for the rest of my life. I love the way it feels to walk out of an amazing workout drenched, shakey and focused. I get into a zone where I am centered, focused, and feel really in tune with my body, mind and soul. It's almost spiritual. It's my "me time"
How I Stay Motivated:
I don't need to stay motivated. It comes naturally to me now after years of doing it. I know I find that I am fully one with myself and every aspect of my personal life after a workout. I think clearer and feel amazing after. I know this, and achieving that grounded feeling at the end of my day motivates me to get myself into the gym. Seeing my results motivates me to either work harder or maintain as well.
What do you do before your workout to get motivated and energized?
I buy a bottle of water, put on my workout gear, look myself in the mirror and say to myself, "lets go."
