I always lifted in high school, but really got into it once I was playing basketball and football in college. Now I train different because I do stongman contest
Why I Love It:
It is a total release of all the stress and pressure of grad school, and life. And the only person you can blame on issues is yourself, so it is a battle with yourself everyday.
How I Stay Motivated:
Just want to prove people wrong. Mostly in strongman because I am only 200 lbs and most people are usually about 70lbs heavier then me.
Because I want to be a national champ in the 200lb weight class one day.
BB Accomplishments:
I have pulled a 11 ton semi 100 ft in under 40 sec
Lifted a 300 lbs stone on a 54in plateform
Placed second in Xenia strongman contest in 8-06
In 2007 I placed 15th in 200lbs class at national and 42nd in Light weight class in Las Vegas.
To place top 3 in 200lbs class at nationals this year
Goal (Long):
Was able to compete last year and screwed up on a couple events which put me out of top 10, looking to improve on that and hope to place top 3 this year.
