How I Started:
I've always been envious of girls who were ripped and I wanted to be like that someday. When I moved here to St. John's my boyfriend joined a gym and I could see results in no time. After trying and quitting, I've finally decided that the only way I'm going to be lean and muscular is if I work at it. I'm starting off but it's going slowly because I get so stiff and it usually lasts about 3 days but I'm pushing myself to stay with it.
Why I Love It:
I love to feel stiff and know that I've worked very hard in order to feel that way. I love to sweat and I obviously can't wait to see the results of hard work. It makes me feel so good to leave the gym after a hard workout and then do whatever I want after knowing that I did my work for the day, I can finally relax afterwards.
How I Stay Motivated:
I look at clothes that I want to wear and look at other people on this site. Looking at the other users here make me feel like I can do it too and makes me want to do it even more!
I've never had a positive outlook on my body and I've never had the confidence I wanted. When I moved away from home I decided to join a gym, but I haven't been true to my word, although I am eating much healthier than I was before. I've recently joined a gym (again) and also joined bellydancing. I'm more interested in exercise now than I was before. I've started going to the gym with my boyfriend and I realized how much I enjoy (oddly enough) the feeling of my muscles burning and being stiff for 3 days! At the moment I just want to lose 20 pounds of fat. Eventually I want to be very lean.
