Welllll...to be honest I first lifted in college around 1987. But I always prioritized work over everything else in my life (dumb). So for 20 years I would get in the gym for a few months, then stay out for half a year or more. Over and over. In April 2006, just before I turned 41, I started back and stayed focused. I have been consistent about lifting, rest, and diet since then. And because I was *totally* out of shape at the time (about 290 lbs of flabby, no muscle self), I consider that my new starting point.
Why I Love It:

Very inspirational profile, man. Hope you're staying on-target. Even with the tank on, looking very impressive (the delts and arms do not lie). Keep up the good work and keep on hulkin'.
It's going... Trying to add weight - the good kind. I've had more time to train at the West AllStar gym during the day since I'm not working at the moment, so that helps.
This is a great site for tips and workout logs!
Holy moly David, you are a beast! Way to represent us over 40 Northwesterners and would be honored to have you as a friend! Nice work with no end in sight, right?:)
