How I Started:
I went to the doctor and found out I weighed almost 300 pounds (287)! This was at age 17 and I knew I had to do something about my weight.
Why I Love It:
I love to see my body slowly change - and this time for the better. The weight wasn't put on overnight, nor will it be taken off overnight. It's a day by day process, and I love every day of it. Days add up to weeks, which add up to months, which add up to years and before you know it, it's like you have transformed your body overnight!
How I Stay Motivated:
I know that the best me will only be exposed when I treat myself right. I am ready to meet the best me that I can be, as well as introduce her to others that I meet.

After gaining weight last year - 235 lbs.
I decided that I needed to get healthier but didn't really want to do anything like change my diet or exercise.
I can't until I can look at this and say that I don't remember what it felt like to be that big.
I have 30 obnoxious pounds of fat that need to disappear!

I am working on the outer me reflecting the beauty of the inner me.
I am learning how to be more spiritual and reflective, and also how to treat myself with the respect that I want from others.
I am only going to have one heart, so I need to make sure I care for it...which means...(and I am trying not to cringe...)cardio.
Weight Goal:
I want to LOSE 30 lb

So, I'm sure everyone here knows how it feels to completely lose all motivation. However, unlike most of you, I am NOT good at pushing through it and working out anyway. And the irony of this situation is that I work at a gym! I have access to over 100 buildings in the northeast and sometimes...
Martina I read your blog tonight, I can't tell you how many times I have become discouraged, lost all motivation, and totally quit! Sometimes those waves come crashing down, HARD. The great thing is I totally feel after losing ground I can learn from it, and am somehow stronger :D You have come so far, down from 287. That took amazing strength! If you discouraged, take heart and remember how strong you really are! ~Missy
Thx for the reps and compliment. If you ever got a question or wanna pick my brain just let me know. I've lost 50 pounds twice in my life and the last time I did it the right way and don't plan on having to ever again. For being into fitness for 5 years now I've ready my fair share and done enough hands on to know a thing or two.
