When I Started:
Sep, 2006
How I Started:
Fitness has always been a part of my daily life. For years, I worked out 12 to 20 hours a week, mainly cardio, long-distance running and aerobic classes. I enjoyed the endurance work and it made me feel good. I also enjoyed the fact that I talked myself into all the extra calories which I figured I deserved since I spent so many hours at the gym! So, I learned to accept the extra pounds. I had no idea that what I was doing was actually FORCING my body fat to stay on! Then, I discovered...weights! (why was I SO scared of them?!!)The 1st thing I would have to do is 1000% change my diet.( I was only eating 2 large meals a day) After only ONE WEEK of perfect clean diet(6meals/day), I saw changes in my strenght. The next week, I quit my "girlie" aeorobic gym and joined a hardcore, more "manly" gym. This motivated me a lot.
Why I Love It:
I've totally turned back the hands of time! I love living in this body
How I Stay Motivated:
I surround myself with positive people who will not sabotage and bring me down. This site is a huge help.
BB Accomplishments:
Totally transforming my body

I set a goal and actually accomplished it, what a feeling! Back in the Spring when I got sick and had my injury, this led to a big set back and weight gain and I thought maybe I could sign up for a competition and this would motivate me, but just didn't feel confident and ready yet. Instead,...

New with me...not too much. Working in the Desert tends to sap the strength a bit or it could be the 14 hours days. But I am still moving forward and gaining strength for sure. Thanks for the compliment too! Thanks for the compliment too!

I think it actually was "swine." I couldn't get on a plane and fly back to Cali, so I had to spend an extra two days in Florida. Now I know flu, but this was the mother of them all. My skin burned, my throat hurt, I was hot & cold at the same time. Thankfully, it's over...:)

Alright. Thanks for checking in. My changes aren't as extreme as I was hoping, but I'm dealing with that okay. I'm in it for the long haul and plan on beginning another 12-week challenge after this one is over. How are things for you?
