When I Started:
Jan, 2009
How I Started:
I've been lifting weights most of my adult life. I was a wimpy kid so when I joined the Army in my 20's I met a man who introduced me to bodybuilding while in Germany.
Why I Love It:
I love being strong. I like the feeling of being able to do pushups and pull ups. I like firm shapely muscles. I can't stand flabby soft arms and legs.
How I Stay Motivated:
I like looking at Oxygen magazine and reading articles by Tosca Reno. I also enjoy viewing the Over 40 Transformations on this website. I stay motivated by trying to visualize how i want to look this summer. I think if other women my age can do it then, so can I!
BB Accomplishments:
I entered one NPC BB contest at a loca military base about 20 years ago. I didn't place but I gained a great appreciation for the sport and I learned a lot.
I'd like to gain some shapely muscle and lose a lot of fat so I can look lean and good again.
Goal (Long):
I have worked out all of my adult life, starting when I joined the army in my early 20's. I met a bodybuilder who showed me how to lift and I have worked out with weights ever since. Now since I've been married 16 years and have a child, I have let my diet and workout slip. I want to look lean and toned for my age without the use of drugs. I have revamped my diet like those that I see the over 40 ladies eating on BB.com and I have revved up my workouts more weights and moderate cardio. Will add more details later.
Weight Goal:
I want to LOSE 15 lb
Bodyfat Goal:
15%

Just thought I'd solicit a little more advice from all of you out there. What a great resource this is!!! You can get advice from thousands of people and take it or leave it at any given moment. And the best part is... you don't have to listen to anyone's story that you don't want to he,...
Sheryll, you are looking fantastic !! Especially the rear double bicep pose. Really nice back development. 48? Come on, tell me how old you really are ... 30? ...32?
They made me really jittery and sick to my tummy. I could handle one pill once per day but if I took any more than that I was sick. The dosing on the bottle is supposed to be 3 in the morning and three in the afternoon. So six pills per day! And I was only able to do 1 pill per day. It didn't seem worth it. :-)
Hey there... I did Body for Life three years ago and loved it. The pictures on my progress area are for the Hydroxycut challenge, but I couldn't handle taking the fat burners so I don't know if I can continue with that competition or not. :-)
You look GREAT Sheryl. It's always inspiring to me to see the pics of 40-somethings in shape. And, you're older than me (47). I always respect my elders. Esp those who keep fit. ;)
