First off, congrats on the weight loss! The beginner routine would be fine for gaining mass, but feel free to include other exercises as you do already have experience lifting.

It's all about weighted exercises...believe it or not I only train abs 2x per week. I've been doing a lot of compound lifts (rows, pulldown, bench, mil press) to get the guns though - should I keep those up?
