When I Started:
Aug, 1980
How I Started:
When I first started, I was the quintessential skinny kid. At the age of 20, I was 5'10" and weighed 128 lbs. soaking wet. I hated the way I looked and was tired of everybody calling me small or skinny, so I started lifting weights.
Why I Love It:
I love the transformation that can be achieved by lifting weights and adopting a healthy lifestyle.
How I Stay Motivated:
Constantly digesting inspirational information and articles and reading how other successful people continue to accomplish their goals. Bodybuilding.com is great for that!!
BB Accomplishments:
I don't have any "titles" (yet), so I'd have to say longevity as my biggest achievement so far. I've been working out now for almost 27 years! God willing, I will be working out 27 more!

This is me before I really started to get SERIOUS about losing FAT and putting on more muscle...
Here I am, making progress, but a way to go...having a very hard time getting rid of these dern "love handles"...feeling just a little discouraged, but trying to keep my eye on my goal! My goal date is Labor Day!
Its GREAT to see older guys still pumping the iron and looking awesome! I turn 49 a few months and toy with the idea of competing one day when I get in my 50's! You rock old superman!!
Steve, looked over your profile and your doing great. It took me 7 mths to lose over 50lbs and about 2 more years to look like a bodybuilder. I used the "caveman's diet", or the wrestlers, boxers, or low carb keto diet, to get the weight off. I was still about 20% BF tho. In the show pic's I'm about 3.2% BF. Right now and in the pre show pic's I'm about 6 to 10% BF. About 8% now. PM me and tell me what you are doing for diet and training, then we can see how to proceed from there. ed
Just checking out your profile and wanted to take the time to wish you the best of luck with all your fitness goals. Looks like you're already making great progress in a short period of time.
