How many reps per set do you usually do? Why?
Depends on the exercise being performed. 6-8 on strength training exercises. 8-10 on everything else.
How long do you rest between sets on average? Why?
30-45 seconds, by then its my turn to lift again.

was talking to a guy at the gym about ways to get my bench up. he suggesting (at the end of my usual bench workout) taking my target max, adding about 10% more weight and doing a negative. then dropping the weight to my target max and doing another negative. has anyone out there tried this?
