A guy I knew asked me if I wanted to go to the gym with him and another dude, the first time I deployed. They were some pretty massive dudes, and I was a twig(155lbs soaking wet) so I figured they could help me out.
Why I Love It:
Seeing and feeling the gains, pushing myself to see how far I can go. Plus, it's a great stress reliever.
How I Stay Motivated:
Seeing the results. Knowing that when I'm done at the gym I gave it my all. Setting goals and crushing them as I pass by. That and seeing how far I can kick puppies.
BB Accomplishments:
-Being the lightest weight person to get into the "1000 lbs Club" two days before shipping home on
24 February, 2007. I was 173 lbs at the time.
-Getting in the "800lbs Club" in August '05 just 3 months after I first started lifting... ever.
-Benching 215 lbs for the first time ever, then right after that, smashing it with 225 lbs.
-Deadlifting a "pants-shitting" 395 lbs after a hard deadlifting workout.
-Deadlifting 405 lbs for the 1000 lbs club.
-Finding out that a year after getting the 1000 lbs club I was still the lightest person to get in at 173 lbs.
Summer of 2005 started lifting, stopped for a while then started again the Winter of 2006. I was the lightest weight person to make it into the 1000 lbs club at that base. I was 173 lbs. Right now I'm just in it to improve myself.
Been a while since I got on here for a blog. I've been going to the gym ever since I got back in Feb. but not as intensly as I was in Kuwait. Well, I was going to try and get back my old weight I had in Kuwait, plus the lifting stats, and as soon as I get back on track for it and I found a...
awww, that does suck. but it won't be too long right?
There's not much new with me. Still single, but i have my eye on someone...which he gives me motivation to work out since he's not some lazy bum...haha. But yeah...work, working out, school, and having fun. Finally 21!!
Cookies and cream is my favorite flavor, in fact, eating it right now! :-) I'm curious about the root beer float flavor but uh, am a little afraid to give it a whirl.
Good morning! So Dave, did you see those 4 new flavors of whey by Optimum? I purchased the caramel toffee fudge flavor. It'll be here soon. Hope its good!
