A guy I knew asked me if I wanted to go to the gym with him and another dude, the first time I deployed. They were some pretty massive dudes, and I was a twig(155lbs soaking wet) so I figured they could help me out.
Why I Love It:
Seeing and feeling the gains, pushing myself to see how far I can go. Plus, it's a great stress reliever.
How I Stay Motivated:
Seeing the results. Knowing that when I'm done at the gym I gave it my all. Setting goals and crushing them as I pass by. That and seeing how far I can kick puppies.
BB Accomplishments:
-Being the lightest weight person to get into the "1000 lbs Club" two days before shipping home on
24 February, 2007. I was 173 lbs at the time.
-Getting in the "800lbs Club" in August '05 just 3 months after I first started lifting... ever.
-Benching 215 lbs for the first time ever, then right after that, smashing it with 225 lbs.
-Deadlifting a "pants-shitting" 395 lbs after a hard deadlifting workout.
-Deadlifting 405 lbs for the 1000 lbs club.
-Finding out that a year later that I was still the lightest person to get in the 1000 lbs club.
Summer of 2005 started lifting, stopped for a while then started again the Winter of 2006. I was the lightest weight person to make it into the 1000 lbs club at that base. I was 173 lbs. Right now I'm just in it to improve myself.
