How I Started:
Put down this last time around that I started lifting regularly again, used to do it religiously in my 20's.
Why I Love It:
I love the way it makes me look and feel. I also love the confidence that serious lifting combined with advanced martial arts training makes me feel. When I'm right and on my game, I feel pretty much indestructable.
How I Stay Motivated:
I just love to do it. I love pushing myself to see how far I can go. I also love knowing that I'm bigger, stronger, and badder then more then 99% of the population- I'm a little on the crazy side like that.

Currently training for upcoming black belt test in Tae Kwon Do.

Pushups, situps, and running in addition to TKD training make up my current w/o regimin and will until after August 9th. I had been doing dips last week, but had some shoulder issues so I haven't done them since Sunday. Plan...

That's impressive. While I used to run a lot when I was losing weight I really never did much actual fighting other than wrestling in school for a while. Obviously I'm not going to try to physically better you, I was just riled up and said stuff. Sometimes when I read things like that it just reminds me of when I was bigger and pisses me off.

Yes I did ask them. Alot of it had to do with frequent deployments and under Bush funding for the VA was cut while at the same time some of them were not treated well by their Republican reps when they complained about the VA care they were receving. Like I said...voting is a personal and complex issue that doesnt always fall into neat black/white issues. I guess we are going to have to agree to disagree. :)

I've already hit 6 miles once, but pushed a little too hard and knocked myself backwards. Still getting smarter, still learning how to run to get the distances I want.
