i got started in powerlifting and toning
not bodybuilding my father incouraged me,he being a power lifter himself and benching 650 like he did. so i started when i was 14 in high school. i pushed my body to the limits playing football and by the time i was 16 i was weighing 217,benching 475 for a 1 set of 6.so from that time on i was addicted to the power of the iron weight and the riddle of steel.
Why I Love It:
i love lifting weights and breaking the platues of my own personal performance im a us. marine so i constantly have to push my body to the limits. our training is allways changing and we have to change with it. the only problem is their is no room in the marine corps for guys my size, we are a dying breed here.
How I Stay Motivated:
It helps me ease my mind and forget things. It's you versus the weight and you have to win.You cant allow yourself to be beaten by your mind or your body, you will move that weight or get that obstacle out of your way if you want it to.
BB Accomplishments:
before i joined the marine corps i was into power lifting really heavily. my personal bests were 900lbs deadlift, 520lbs flat bench, 350lbs overhead press
and 230 standing barbell curl
