When I Started:
Aug, 2009
How I Started:
I was a competitive gymnast through highschool, which helped develop my drive and determination. I have always been very active in many sports/ activities, but was slightly side tracked by college/ work. Decided when I turned 30 that it was time to make a life long commitment to be in the best shape I can achieve. Discovered weight training and love it, only wish I had gotten into this long ago. Started at home with free weights and transitioned to the gym to step things up. I used bodybuilding.com to learn about proper training and nutrition/ supplementation.
Why I Love It:
I LOVE muscular physiques and the fact that it takes hard work and dedication in all aspects of life to obtain. Feels awesome to be exhausted and sore after a good workout.
How I Stay Motivated:
All the naturally buff women on this web site, especially those fit moms in their 30-40's! Figure models (Ava Cowan/ Jamie Eason) inspire me to keep working harder. In general, I tend to be an all or nothing type personality. I'm very competitive with myself, and tend to be extremely dedicated once I start something.

Sorry so long in replying! 6 to 7 small complete meals a day. Eat as much as you can as raw, whole, organic foods--don't cook your veggies! :) Lean proteins, of course. I am a big believer in sashimi for my fish--the less cooking & processing the better!
